"A TOWN´S ANNIVERSARY"

1905, September 17th

GENERAL PROGRAM

Corral de Piedra invites anybody to be part of the "Cura Malal: A Town's Anniversary" project. We want to establish the 17th of September as the anniversary date. That day, in 1905, the first lot auction took place, based on the design that was measured and drawn by engineer Nicolás Valsoe; a total of 48 lots all along a surface of 90 hectares granted by Eduardo Casey.

The project consists of three main points:

1. To establish the 17th of September as the anniversary date, nationwide.

2. To organize an annual International Mail Art exhibition.

3. To organize an annual party to commemorate the town's anniversary.

A supporting coupon will be attached to the project's documentation, in order to arrange the annual organization of the event. These coupons will be part of the Town's Registry, in charge of Corral de Piedra.

The International Mail Art exhibition will use the image of the town's design. On August 7th 2010, the "A Town in the Horizon" exhibition was shown at La Tranca de Cura Malal, with 160 artists from 13 countries intervening the town's local design.
